Rock-N-Row, Cottonwood Outfitters, and J. P. Fly Fishing Specialties have gone together to bring you the best in fly fishing experience. We have some of the most experienced fly-fishing guides on the Arkansas River and private accesses for some of the best fishing on the river. We guide mainly from Howard to Parkdale and east of Canon City, so we may enjoy a year round season of fly-fishing on the river. January thru April there is Madges with Blue Wing Olive, east of Canon. May thru June, there is Caddis and Stonefly. July thru September, we have Caddis and Terrestrials, and October thru December we have Streamer and Midges. Our guides will recommend the fly pattern you need. We also have fly fishing and fly tying lessons on request. Jim of J. P. Fly Fishing Specialties, builds all his own rods, including hand built bamboo rods from scratch. These are custom made just for you. All these rods are built under his own registered brand of Resolute Rods. We also have flies , oak fly boxes, leather fly wallets, and chest pouch assessories which are all hand made. He also refinishes and refurbishes old rods.

Evening Float Trip --- I angler $180 --- 2 angler $ 220 This is great for the fisherman to fly float fishing.

Full Dry Float Trip --- l angler $225 --- 2 angler $325 This trip introduces you to all aspects of fly fishing the Arkansas River, casting in quite pools to rapids, and everything in between as well as leaning the different trout foods that exist in these sections.

Fly Fishing Lessons --- $175 per day per angler.

Our guides have over 100 years of combined experience in fly fishing. We provide the equipment you need or you can bring your own. The morning is spent setting up equipment, casting, knot tying , and everything you need to know to have a great fly fishing experience. Fish in mountain creeks or on private property.
